Sometimes out of the box, your synthetic wig or topper looks a bit too shiny right? I know some of us absolutely love the "fresh-out-of-the-box" shine but for those of us who prefer a little less shine, we have some tips for you.
Over time, your synthetic wig or topper will eventually dull and lose its brightness but can we all wait that long?
Our favorite and fastest way of taking some of the shine off your wig is with a bit of powder. I don't like using baby powder because for one, it smells like BABY POWDER and it can be seen on darker wigs. I prefer using Clubman. It is a cornstarch based powder, not a talc.
Wash your wig following manufacturer's instructions and let it dry thoroughly . Place your wig on a stand and secure. Find yourself a fluffy powder puff and rub into it some Clubman powder. Lightly pat visible areas where you would like to tame the shine and gently brush your wig. You should not see any visible powdery look, if you do, this means you have put too much on your puff. Keep gently brushing your wig until you are satisfied.
